Ahoy there - Muse Challenge #24

July 5, 2013

Ahoy there!
How about a little nautical themed card today?

I was completely inspired to make this card after visiting the Muse challenge blog.  It's my first time joining this challenge.  After seeing the Muse card, which I remember seeing the first time Laurie posted it... and which also got me to order this circle border die...
Well, I jumped at the chance to CASE it.

As you can see, I was inspired by the sketch, the textured background, the layers, the circle border die, and an element of fiber.  I ended up creating my own sentiment with Illustrator.  It reminds me of the beautiful Signature Series stamps from PTI.  The pattern paper is from the Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm collection.  Seriously one of my favorite paper pads!  The pearl 'bubbles' were a complete after thought, but I like the element they add.

Well, that's all for me today.
Thanks for stopping by, and I do hope you will visit again soon.

xo,
janelle
