Hello Sunshine : Tuesday Trigger

July 13, 2013

Hi there!
I've got a little card to share with you for the current
Tuesday Trigger challenge over at the Moxie Fab World blog.
First, a peak at the inspiration photo.  Fun, right?

The rick-rack on the kraft really spoke to me.
Love the color combo, too!

Starting with a kraft card base, I then decided to have another kraft panel popped up with some large orange rick-rack tucked behind going down the side.  A few small yellow rick-rack strips were then added to the top panel.  More die cuts were made to create the flower with a fancy fun embellished center that was placed next to the sentiment.

To stack the sentiment like this, I ended up cutting my stamp.  This is something that I never would have considered in the past, but I have become a little more comfortable with the idea.  How about you?  Are you more likely to do some masking or some careful cutting?

Thanks so much for visiting!
Hope you'll come back soon.

xo,
janelle

  1. Your card is crisp, fresh & pretty - love it! Love the stacked sentiment - I'm more likely to mask still, but have cut up a few stamps.

  4. Nice work! At one point I never would have considered cutting a stamp but I have in recent years done it a few times after careful consideration. It all depends on how often I find myself wishing I could use just one part of a sentiment. If the answer is 'often' I am more likely to consider making a careful cut or two. Congrats on your Trigger Tuesday win on this great card! :)

  5. I like this clean card a lot. I especially like that you went with a Kraft card instead of white.

  6. I really enjoyed seeing how you put your own stamp on this Trigger! Your ric-rac accents are genius!
