Hi! I'm back to share one of the cards that I made for my hubby.
I made 2 cards so that he got one from me and one from our daughter.
Today's card also happens to fit the travel challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp challenge blog, and the challenge over at CAS-ual Friadys. Yeah!!!

First up is the card that DD gave Daddy. These two enjoy a lot of the same things, including airplanes. Let me tell you, it was so fun when we all went to the Boeing Museum here in Seattle! So, with this card came the promise of getting a family pass on our next visit to the museum.
I'm totally addicted to wood embellishments at the moment... And I just love my new starburst bg stamp. Finally added it to my collection after admiring it for some time. The brown pinked circle is a PTI die cut. The hearts are from a Martha Stewart punch. I felt that hearts are ok on a guy's card when it's Father's Day, the card is from your daughter, and they are fun color of golden yellow. What do you think?
And the banner... So fun! The base is from PTI's Sketched Shapes dies with some die cut letters. The stamped part is from a Simon Says Stamp set. And some MME dots thrown in for fun :) Although, the best part of the card for Dad was probably the inside where I had DD do some coloring. She is almost 18 months, so the little personal touch of her added art was really special for him.

Daddy also got this book.
I found this months ago, but saved it just for this occasion. We love books here, and this is a great addition to the library. The illustrations are beautiful and colorful. The story is cute, silly, and sweet. I also love this book because there aren't a ton of words per page, which is perfect for the 18 month old attention span. Funny note: My husband noticed right away that the author was a Zappa... Frank Zappa's son in fact. Overall, a great book that Dad is happy to read his 'little monster' anytime! In case you're interested, I've posted an easy link below to find this book at Amazon :)
