Hello!
I'm here to share my first attempt at the '10 minute craft dash challenge' from
the Pretty Pink Posh blog by Paulina.  Not only are we challenged to create a card in
10 minutes, but this week the challenge includes featuring stars in your design.

So, I collected the supplies that I thought I'd need to make this card.
Then I hit start on my iphone stopwatch and proceeded to create.

9:42.7

I did it!
I actually made a card in the 10 minutes time.

Going in to this challenge, I knew that it was going to be really difficult for me because I usually take forever!  When all was done, I realized that I had learned a few things about how I typically work.  First, I change my mind a lot during the course of making a card.  This doesn't help when the clock is ticking.  Yes, the card that I finished was not what I had originally planned.  It wasn't that far off though either.  Next, I noticed that I am a 'clean as you' crafter.  With this challenge I did not stop to clean anything in my workspace & it really showed!  I was in an official disaster zone when I looked up from my finished card.  (haha!)

All in all, a super fun challenge.  I recommend everyone give it a go.
Thank you, Paulina, for bringing us the '10 minute craft dash'.

Hello, My Name is...

July 11, 2013

Hello!
It's Birthday Creation Week over at the Moxie Fab World Blog.
So, today I have a little something to share for the Tags & Wraps Challenge.

This baby shower gift was a lot of fun to put together.
The pic below will give you a better look...

I used a kraft, white, and yellow color combo.  This matched the monkey themed gifts I put together for my friend and baby (hehe).  I've added a little widget on the side to share these gifts with you.  These are just some of my favorite baby goodies.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Baby Girl

June 19, 2013

Hello!  Baby girls are showing up everywhere around here these days.  I swear there's something in the water...  So, I have a sweet little baby card to share with you today.  It is for my dear friend who recently gave birth to her beautiful daughter.  Almost too much cuteness around these parts I tell ya.

I've been noticing a lot of people out there using white on white these days with a little foam in between.  And I really like this look.  I've also noticed people using layers that are not perfectly centered on the card front.  And I really like this look, too.  So, I gave both a try here on this card.  And I'm pretty happy with the results.

The goodies include some super fun crepe paper from Dear Lizzy, the gorgeous 'baby' die from PTI, the Happiness in Bloom stamp set also from PTI, and a perfectly matching brad from October Afternoon.  I really can't get over how lovely the font is on this die... ♥!

Today, I get to hand deliver this card and meet the little cutey for the first time.
Can't wait!!!

Thanks so much for the visit, and I hope you'll come back again soon.

Fusion #9

June 4, 2013

Hello!  It's time for Fusion Challenge #9.

Here is this week's hypothesis:

And here is my card:

When I saw the image for this week, I immediately thought of this great new rain drop die.
And with all the babies and baby showers lately, I was in luck for extra inspiration.

My friend, Mommy to Be, loves the color blue... But, she's having a girl.
So, I went with pink rain drops and a blue umbrella with 'girly' flowers.  I even did a layer of clear embossing to add some 'realistic' look to the umbrella.

Normally I feel the need to add a sentiment to the front of a card.  However, this time it just didn't seem to feel right.  So, I left it off.  Let me tell you, that wasn't easy!
And I really tried.

Well, I appreciate you stopping by to check out my card.

Fusion #7

May 22, 2013

Hello!
I'm here with a card for the new Fusion Challenge.

Below is this week's hypothesis:

I say this every week... but, what a great sketch! and the inspiration photo!!!
So, after brainstorming for days...  I decided to use the sketch.
Then I pulled the polka dots, twine, kraft, and a flower from the pic.

I had so much fun putting these goodies together!
And the polka dots are embossed with the Zing powder in butter.
Love those Zing powders and all of the great colors they come in.

Well, this card is off to my friend who recently gave birth to her 1st.
I am so excited for them and their new little bundle.  Can't wait to meet her!

Thank you for the visit!
