Triangle Obsession

August 4, 2013

Hello!
Yes, I'm back with another card covered in triangles...
What can I say?  Triangles are trendy-riffic!

I had this thought to use some larger and longer triangles.  After much playing, I landed on this layered alternating pattern.  I adhered them to the white panel, added a sentiment and a few enamel dots, and then placed that to the card base with some foam tape.

The colors over at colourQ were too hard to resist.
So, I used my best matching cardstock in order to play along.

Plus, the Trendy Triangle Challenge is still open over at Moxie Fab World.
Have you joined in on the fun over there yet?  You really should!

Thank you so much for stopping by!
 Until next time...

xo,
janelle

Total Triangle Celebration

August 3, 2013

Hello!
I'm sure that you've been seeing triangles all over the place these days...
△▽△▽  They are so trendy!  △▽△▽
Well, add to that a triangle filled challenge over at Moxie Fab World.
And my card... I couldn't resist!

No surprise in finding a pattern paper with triangles in the ol' stash.  To that, add some more triangle goodness with fun triangle strips cut from a Papertrey Ink cover plate.

With the pattern and the strips, it felt like confetti and streamers to me.
So, a celebration sentiment finished off the card.

Well, with this triangle filled post, I can't help but send a shout out to all my Tri-Delt sisters out there!  And a big 'Thanks' to you for stopping by!

Hello Sunshine : Tuesday Trigger

July 13, 2013

Hi there!
I've got a little card to share with you for the current
Tuesday Trigger challenge over at the Moxie Fab World blog.
First, a peak at the inspiration photo.  Fun, right?

The rick-rack on the kraft really spoke to me.
Love the color combo, too!

Starting with a kraft card base, I then decided to have another kraft panel popped up with some large orange rick-rack tucked behind going down the side.  A few small yellow rick-rack strips were then added to the top panel.  More die cuts were made to create the flower with a fancy fun embellished center that was placed next to the sentiment.

To stack the sentiment like this, I ended up cutting my stamp.  This is something that I never would have considered in the past, but I have become a little more comfortable with the idea.  How about you?  Are you more likely to do some masking or some careful cutting?

Thanks so much for visiting!
Hope you'll come back soon.

janelle

Hello, My Name is...

July 11, 2013

Hello!
It's Birthday Creation Week over at the Moxie Fab World Blog.
So, today I have a little something to share for the Tags & Wraps Challenge.

This baby shower gift was a lot of fun to put together.
The pic below will give you a better look...

I used a kraft, white, and yellow color combo.  This matched the monkey themed gifts I put together for my friend and baby (hehe).  I've added a little widget on the side to share these gifts with you.  These are just some of my favorite baby goodies.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

janelle
